Dana Kaufman
Founder
Dana’s interest in interior design began at an early age, inspired by her dads love for architecture and design. As a response she became fascinated by the industry, particularly sustainable construction methods and the influence our environments make on our overall wellbeing.
She went on to complete a Certificate III in Interior Decoration, a Diploma of Product Design, and a Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours) from RMIT University. Across eight years of combined design education, Dana refined her focus through research addressing the issue of waste generated by the construction industry, studying potential solutions such as assembly and disassembly, and the disintegration and reconstitution of materials. Her product design background also fostered an interest in custom furniture and the technical understanding of how objects and materials are constructed, not just their overall aesthetic.
Outside of her studies Dana explores her creativity through painting, jewellery-making, pottery, and model-making. Helping her in developing an understanding of material, form, and function.
Dana is passionate about creating and transforming spaces that are not only aesthetically beautiful but also respond to the needs of individuals, enhancing their overall wellbeing through their environment.
